Saving, exporting and scheduling
A report you shaped is worth keeping. Save it and it joins your library exactly as you left it — metrics, filters, date window, comparison and chart. Download it when you need the data somewhere else, or put it on a schedule and stop opening it altogether: the file arrives by itself.
Saving a report
Press Save on any open report and name it. Your version lands in My reports, separate from the built-in library — the original template stays untouched, and your copy remembers everything: the query, the date range, the comparison, the chart, the lot.
- Rename or delete a saved report from the library at any time.
- Saved reports are live. Opening one re-runs it over current data at its saved date range — a "last 30 days" report is always the last 30 days.
- Saved reports can be dashboard cards. Anything in your library can be placed on the Analytics dashboard and it stays in sync with the report.
Downloading
Download exports the report as CSV or Excel — the same rows, columns and totals you see on screen, over every store in the report's scope. Numbers export in the report's currency, dates in the report's timezone, so the file says what the screen said.
The export builder
When the file needs a different shape than the screen — more columns, fewer columns, a different order — the export builder lets you compose it: pick the fields, arrange them, and save the arrangement as a template so the next export is one click. Templates are reusable across reports that share the same data.
Scheduling
A schedule delivers a report automatically: pick the cadence — daily, weekly, monthly — the format, and where it goes.
- Email — the file arrives as an attachment to the addresses you choose.
- FTP — the file lands on your own server, ready for whatever consumes it: a warehouse system, an accountant's folder, a data pipeline.
Each delivery runs the report fresh at its scheduled time, so a Monday-morning "last week" report genuinely covers last week. Pause or delete a schedule any time; the saved report itself is untouched.
Tutorial: a Monday sales file, delivered
- Open Total sales by product, set the date range to last 7 days, and filter it the way your Monday review needs.
- Press Save and name it "Weekly product sales".
- Open Schedules on the report and create a schedule: weekly, Monday morning, Excel.
- Add an email destination with the addresses that need it.
- Done — the file arrives every Monday, covering the week that just ended, across every store.
FAQ
Does a saved report update with new data? Yes — saving keeps the question, not the answer. Every open or scheduled run re-executes the report over current data at its saved date range.
What formats can I export? CSV and Excel, from any report — with the export builder available when the file needs different columns than the screen.
Can a scheduled report go to more than one person? Yes — a schedule's email destination can carry multiple addresses, and a report can have more than one schedule if different people need different cadences.
Do exports include all my stores? Yes — an export covers exactly what the report covers: all connected stores by default, or the subset the report is scoped to, in one currency.
