Export Templates
Export Templates are reusable column sets for your exports. Define the exact columns you want for an entity once — orders, customers, products and more, across all your connected Shopify stores — and reuse that shape every time you build an export, instead of picking columns from scratch.
Opening the dashboard
In the left sidebar, go to Exports/Imports → Exports → Export Templates, or
visit /exporttemplates directly.
What you'll see
Each row is one template, with these columns:

| Name | The template's name. Click it to open the editor. |
| Entity Type | The entity the template is for — for example Orders, Customers or Products. |
| Tags | Any labels you've added to help organize templates. |
| Usage Count | How many times the template has been used. |
| Created At | When the template was created. |
| Author | Who created it — Ecomsolo for the built-in global templates, or a team member for your own. |
Global and personal templates
Templates come in two kinds. Global templates are the built-in ones authored by Ecomsolo, ready to use as a starting point. My templates are the ones you create. Use the Template Type filter to switch between them.
Creating and editing a template
Use Create Template to start a new one, then choose the entity and the columns it should include, and save. To change a template later, open it from its name or the edit icon on the row. Once saved, a template is available when you build an export — pick it and your columns are set for you.
Filtering and searching
Use the search box to find a template by name, and filter by Entity Type (such as Orders, Customers or Products), Template Type (Global or My templates) and Author. Sort by name, entity type, usage count, created date or author to bring the right one to the top.
Tutorial: save a reusable column template
A quick walkthrough of the most common job — capturing a set of columns once and reusing it on every export.
- Open Exports/Imports → Exports → Export Templates from the sidebar.
- Click Create Template and give it a clear name.
- Choose the entity type the template is for — for example Orders.
- Pick the columns you want the template to include, and save.
- Optionally add tags so the template is easy to find later.
- Next time you build an export for that entity, select the template and your columns are set automatically.
Permissions
Account owners always have access. For team members, access is controlled by the relevant View permission — without it, the dashboard isn't reachable. Grant it from your team member's permissions.
