Exporting Companies
Export your Shopify B2B companies to a CSV or Excel file, across every connected store at once. Companies are the B2B accounts on a Shopify Plus store — each one groups its locations, contacts, and orders — and this export pulls them out with the fields you care about, from a single store or all your stores together.

What you can export
In Simple mode you pick from a curated list. The most-used fields:

| Store | Which connected store the company belongs to (name, domain, email). |
| Created / Updated At | When the company was created and last changed. |
You can also add the company's first and last order (id, name, date, and money totals). Template (Advanced) mode opens the full column tree if you need deeper fields.
One row per location, contact, or order
A company is a group of records, so its export can expand to multiple rows. When you add columns from the Locations, Contacts, Orders, or Draft Orders sections, the export emits one row per child record — one row per location, per contact, per order — with the company-level fields repeated on each row (the same one-row-per-child shape used across EcomSolo exports).
- Locations — id, name, external id, order count, total spent, phone, tax details, and full shipping and billing addresses, one row per location.
- Contacts — every contact with its title, whether it's the main contact, and the linked customer's name, email, and phone.
- Orders / Draft Orders — one row per order with its name, date, and money totals.
If you pick columns from more than one of these sections, the row count per company is the largest of the selected child counts. Company metafields and timeline events are available as expansion columns too, and populate as that data syncs for your store. If you only pick Basic and Store columns, each company is a single row.
Filtering what you export
Narrow the export to the companies you want. The available filters:
- Store — limit to one or more connected stores.
- Name — companies whose name contains your text.
- External ID — match on your ERP/CRM identifier.
- Has main contact — only companies that have (or don't have) a primary contact.
- Created / Updated date — a date range or a shorthand like the last 30 or 90 days.
There's also a free-text search that matches company name, external ID, or id. This per-entity filter is part of the export and is independent of whatever filter you last used on the Companies dashboard.
Exporting from the dashboard vs the wizard
From the Companies dashboard, the Export button (the Export Builder) does a quick single-entity export scoped to what you're viewing — Current page, Filtered (everything matching your dashboard filters), Selected (rows you've ticked), or All companies across your stores. The Export Wizard (Exports → New export) is the place for multi-entity exports and scheduled runs. Both share the same columns, filters, formats, and destinations.
Scheduling
Any companies export can be saved as a recurring daily, weekly, or monthly schedule instead of a one-time run — each run rebuilds from live data. See scheduled exports.
Tutorial: export every company with its locations
- Go to Exports → New export (
/exports/new). - In Step 1, tick Companies and click Next.
- In Step 2, keep the Basic columns and open the Locations section, then tick the location fields you want (id, name, addresses). The export will now emit one row per location.
- Add a Store filter if you only want companies from certain stores.
- In Step 3, choose Excel and set the destination to Email.
- In Step 4, name it "Companies with locations" and click Run now.
- You'll get an in-app notification when the file is ready; large exports keep running if you leave the page.
Permissions
- View Exports (
viewExports) — build a companies export. - Download Exports (
downloadExports) — download the finished file.
Account owners have both. Grant them to team members from their permissions.
FAQ
Can I export Shopify companies to Excel? Yes — choose Excel (.xlsx) or CSV
in Step 3. Companies is a B2B entity, so it's only populated on Shopify Plus
stores that use B2B.
Does the export include each company's locations and contacts? Yes — add columns from the Locations or Contacts sections and the export expands to one row per location or contact, with the company fields repeated on each row.
Can I export a company's orders? Yes — the Orders and Draft Orders sections add one row per order with its name, date, and money totals, and the First/Last Order columns add a single summary per company.
Can I export companies from all my stores at once? Yes — an export spans every connected store by default. Add a Store filter to narrow it to one.
Can I schedule a companies export? Yes — save it as a daily, weekly, or monthly schedule; each run rebuilds from live data and is delivered to your destination.
Why is my export just one row per company? Because you only selected Basic and Store columns. Add columns from Locations, Contacts, or Orders to expand each company into multiple rows.
