Abandoned Checkouts dashboard
The Abandoned Checkouts dashboard brings every abandoned cart from all your connected Shopify stores into one list. Instead of opening each store to see which checkouts were left behind, which recovery emails went out, and which customers came back, you get a single view you can filter, sort, and export.
Opening the dashboard
In the left sidebar, go to Data → Orders → Abandoned checkouts, or visit
/orders/checkouts directly.
Each checkout name links straight to that checkout in its Shopify admin, where you can copy the recovery link and follow up.
What you'll see
Each row is one abandoned checkout, with these columns:
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Checkout | The checkout name, linking to the checkout in Shopify. |
| Date | When the checkout was created. |
| Customer | The customer on the checkout, with contact details on hover. |
| Store | Which connected store the checkout belongs to. |
| Region | The region derived from the shipping, customer, or billing address. |
| Email Status | Whether the recovery email has been sent (Sent, Not Sent). |
| Recovery Status | Whether the checkout has been recovered (Recovered, Not Recovered). |
| Total | The checkout total in the store's currency. |
Quick tabs across the top — All, Not recovered, and Recovered — narrow the list with one click. Use the column picker to show, hide, and reorder columns and set your default sort; the dashboard remembers your choice. On a single-store account the Store column is hidden automatically.
Filtering and searching
Narrow the list with filters for Stores, Recovery status, Regions, Status, Payment status, Fulfillment status, Total price, Date, Tagged with, and Product title, then sort by any column. This makes the common questions one click away — "which high-value carts haven't been recovered", "abandoned checkouts from one region this week", "everything where no recovery email has gone out yet".
Exporting
Open the Export Builder from the dashboard to download abandoned checkouts as CSV or Excel. You choose the scope:
- Current page — just what's on screen.
- Filtered — everything matching your current filters.
- Selected — only the rows you tick.
- All abandoned checkouts — the full list across your stores.
Pick the columns you want, and download. If you export the same shape regularly, save it as a template so it's one click next time, or set up a recurring schedule from the Schedules view.
Tutorial: export high-value carts that haven't been recovered
A quick walkthrough of a common job — pulling every unrecovered cart worth chasing, across every store, and handing it to your team as a file.
- Open Data → Orders → Abandoned checkouts from the sidebar.
- Click the Not recovered tab, or set the Recovery status filter to Not recovered, to show only carts still open.
- Set the Total price filter to focus on carts above a value worth chasing.
- Click the Total column header to sort highest first, so the biggest carts rise to the top.
- Use the column picker to show the columns your team needs, such as Customer, Region, and Email Status.
- Open the Export Builder, choose the Filtered scope, pick your columns, and download a CSV or Excel — a ready-to-share recovery list.
Permissions
Account owners always have access. For team members, access to the Orders section — including abandoned checkouts — is controlled by the View Orders permission. Without it, opening the dashboard shows a "no access" message. Grant it from your team member's permissions.
FAQ
Does the Abandoned Checkouts dashboard show carts from all my stores at once? Yes — every connected store's abandoned checkouts land in one list. Filter by Stores when you want to focus on a single store.
What's the difference between Email Status and Recovery Status? Email Status shows whether Shopify has sent the recovery email, while Recovery Status shows whether the customer came back and completed the purchase.
Can I export only the carts I've filtered to? Yes. Open the Export Builder and choose the Filtered scope to export exactly what matches your current filters — or Selected for just the rows you tick.
Why does a region show N/A on some rows? Region is derived from the checkout's shipping, customer, or billing address. When none of those is present, the row shows N/A.
Can team members see this dashboard? Only if they have the View Orders permission. Account owners always have access.
