Reports
EcomSolo's reports answer the questions Shopify's own analytics cannot: they combine every store you have connected into one number, converted to one currency. Total sales means total sales across your whole business — and any report can be broken out per store with one click when you want the split.
There are more than a hundred reports in the library, organised by category, and every one of them is live and editable: open it, change the date range, add a comparison, filter it, regroup it, or take it apart in the report editor and build your own version. Nothing here is a static chart.
Where to start
- The report editor — how a report is put together: metrics, dimensions, filters, visualization, and the panels that edit each one.
- The query language — every report is a readable query; learn to read and write them.
- Saving, exporting and scheduling — keep your versions, download them, or have them emailed on a schedule.
- The report categories — each category page lists every report in it and what it tells you: Sales, Orders, Customers, Products, Inventory, Finances, Performance, Behavior and Acquisition.
What makes these reports different
- Cross-store by default. Every metric aggregates across all connected stores and converts to one currency. Add "group by store" to any report to see the split — the view a single Shopify store can never show.
- Shopify-parity numbers. The core reports are verified against Shopify's own analytics, statistic by statistic, so the totals you see here match the totals each store shows — before they are added together.
- Everything opens. From a dashboard card, a report, a chart or a table row, you can always go one level deeper — down to the individual orders and products behind a number.
- Honest gaps. A day with no sales reads zero; a rate that could not be measured stays blank rather than inventing a failure; a period outside your data says so.
Tutorial: from a question to a saved report
- Open Reporting → Reports and pick a report close to your question — for example "Total sales by product".
- Set the date range and turn on a comparison to see the trend.
- Filter it — for example to one sales channel, or to orders over a certain value.
- Change the grouping if you need a different breakdown — by variant, by vendor, by store.
- Press Save and name it. It is now in your library, exactly as you shaped it.
- If you need it regularly, add a schedule — a CSV or Excel copy arrives by email on the cadence you choose.
FAQ
Do the reports combine all my Shopify stores? Yes — every report aggregates across all connected stores and converts to one currency you choose. Group by store when you want the per-store split.
Do the numbers match Shopify's analytics? The core reports are verified against Shopify's own reports statistic by statistic. Where Shopify and EcomSolo count differently, the report's guide says so explicitly.
Can I change what a report shows? Yes. Every report opens in the report editor, where you can change metrics, groupings, filters, date ranges and the chart — and save your version without touching the original.
Can I export a report? Yes — download any report as CSV or Excel, or schedule it to arrive by email or FTP automatically.
Do I need to learn a query language? No. The editor's panels cover everything most merchants need with clicks. The query language is there when you want it — and every panel change shows you the query it wrote, so you learn it by osmosis.
