Menus dashboard

The Menus dashboard brings every navigation menu from all your connected Shopify stores into one list. Instead of opening each store's navigation settings to check which menus exist, how many items they hold, and which is the default, you get a single view you can filter, sort, and export.

Opening the dashboard

In the left sidebar, go to Content → Menus, or visit /content/menus directly.

If a connected store is missing the access scope EcomSolo needs to read navigation menus, a small badge appears next to the menu item — open the dashboard and a banner shows which stores need re-authorizing.

What you'll see

Each row is one navigation menu, with these columns:

ColumnWhat it shows
MenuThe menu's title.
HandleThe menu's handle (its identifier in the theme).
ItemsHow many items the menu contains.
DefaultWhether this is a default menu.
StoreWhich connected store the menu belongs to.
Last activityWhen the menu was last updated.
CreatedWhen the menu was created.

Use the column picker to show, hide, and reorder columns, and set your default sort — the dashboard remembers your choice.

Filtering and searching

Narrow the list down and turn common questions into one click:

  • Stores — focus on a single store, or leave it off to see them all.
  • Title and Handle — find a menu by name or handle across every store.
  • Default Menu — show only default menus, or only non-default ones.
  • Created At and Updated At — limit to a time range.

The search box matches on menu title or handle.

Exporting

Open the Export Builder from the dashboard to download menus as CSV or Excel. You choose the scope:

  • Current page — just what's on screen.
  • Filtered — everything matching your current filters.
  • Selected — only the rows you tick.
  • All menus — the full list across your stores.

Pick the columns you want, and download. If you export the same shape regularly, save it as a template so it's one click next time.

Tutorial: compare navigation menus across every store

A quick walkthrough of a common job — lining up the menus from all your stores so you can spot the ones that drifted out of sync.

  1. Open Content → Menus from the sidebar.
  2. Leave the Store filter off so every store's menus show together.
  3. Click the Handle column header to sort by handle — menus that should match across stores line up next to each other.
  4. Use the column picker to make sure Items and Store are visible so you can see, per store, how many items each menu carries.
  5. Add a Handle filter if you want to zoom in on one menu (for example your main menu) across every store.
  6. Open the Export Builder, choose the Filtered scope, pick your columns, and download a CSV or Excel — a side-by-side of your navigation across stores.

Permissions

Account owners always have access. For team members, access is controlled by the View Navigation permission — without it, opening the dashboard shows a "no access" message. Grant it from your team member's permissions.

FAQ

Does the Menus dashboard show navigation menus from all my stores at once? Yes — every connected store's menus land in one list. Filter by Store when you want to focus on a single store.

What counts as a menu here? Shopify navigation menus — the link menus you build under Online Store → Navigation, such as your main menu and footer menu.

A store shows a warning badge next to Menus — what does it mean? That store is missing the Shopify access scope EcomSolo needs to read navigation menus. Re-authorize the store and the badge clears.

Can I export only the menus I've filtered to? Yes. Open the Export Builder and choose the Filtered scope to export exactly what matches your current filters — or Selected for just the rows you tick.

Can team members see this dashboard? Only if they have the View Navigation permission. Account owners always have access.
