Data Exports

Data Exports is the home for your saved export jobs — the reusable exports of customer, order, product and sales data pulled from across all your connected Shopify stores. Instead of rebuilding the same export each time you need it, you save it once, run it when you like, and put it on a schedule if it should repeat.

Opening the dashboard

In the left sidebar, go to Reporting → Data Exports, or visit /dataexports directly. My data exports under the same menu item shows only the exports you created.

What you'll see

Each row is one saved data export, with these columns:

ColumnWhat it shows
NameThe export's title. Click it to open the export.
CategoryWhat the export covers — for example Customers, Orders, Products or Sales.
ScheduleWhether the export runs on a schedule, with controls to pause, resume, or remove it.
Last viewedWhen the export was last opened.
AuthorWho created it — Ecomsolo for built-in exports, or a team member for custom ones.
PinnedPin an export to keep it near the top of the list.

Creating and scheduling an export

Use Create data export to start a new one — give it a title, pick a category and a type, and save. The export joins the list, ready to open and run. If it should repeat, add a schedule so it runs on its own, and pause or resume that schedule from the list at any time.

Filtering and searching

Use the search box to find an export by name, and filter by Category (such as Customers, Orders, Products or Sales) and Author to separate the built-in Ecomsolo exports from your team's. Sort by name, category, last viewed or author to bring the right one to the top.

Tutorial: save a reusable data export

A quick walkthrough of the most common job — building an export once and running it whenever you need it.

  1. Open Reporting → Data Exports from the sidebar.
  2. Click Create data export and give it a clear title.
  3. Choose the category it covers and the type, then create it.
  4. Open the export from the list to run it and review its data.
  5. Optionally add a schedule so it runs automatically, and pin it so it stays near the top.
  6. Come back any time and open it from the list to reuse or adjust it.

Permissions

Account owners always have access. For team members, access is controlled by the relevant View permission — without it, the dashboard isn't reachable. Grant it from your team member's permissions.

FAQ

Do data exports pull from all my Shopify stores? Yes — a saved export draws from across every connected store, so one export can cover all your shops.

What's the difference between a Data Export and the Exports dashboard? Data Exports is your library of saved, reusable export jobs organized by category; the Exports dashboard is the run history where finished export files land to download.

Can an export run on its own? Yes. Add a schedule and it runs automatically — pause or resume that schedule from the list whenever you need to.

What do the categories mean? They group your exports by what they cover — for example Customers, Orders, Products and Sales — so you can filter the list down to the ones you want.

Can team members create data exports? Only with the relevant permission. Account owners always can.
