Customers dashboard
The Customers dashboard brings every customer from all your connected Shopify stores into one list. Instead of opening each store to look up who's subscribed, who's spending, and who ordered recently, you get a single view you can filter, sort, and export.
Opening the dashboard
In the left sidebar, click Customers, or visit /customers directly. The
B2B Companies view sits just beneath it as a sub-item.
What you'll see
Each row is one customer, with these columns:
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Customer name | The customer's name, linking through to their profile in Shopify admin. |
| Store | Which connected store the customer belongs to. |
| Email subscription | Whether the customer is subscribed or not subscribed to email marketing. |
| Location | The customer's city and country, from their default address. |
| Phone | The customer's phone number, when present. |
| Orders | How many orders the customer has placed. |
| Amount spent | The customer's total spend, in the store's currency. |
| Tags | Any tags applied to the customer. |
| Created | When the customer was created. |
If you only have one connected store, the Store column is hidden automatically since every row belongs to the same store.
Use the column picker to show, hide, and reorder columns, and set your default sort — the dashboard remembers your choice.
Filtering and searching
Narrow the list down with filters, and sort by any column. This makes the common questions one click away:
- Customer account status — active, disabled, invited, or declined.
- Email subscription status — subscribed or not subscribed.
- Stores and Store Urls — focus on one or more of your stores.
- Orders count — for example customers with more than one order.
- Amount spent — find your highest-value customers.
- Date of order — customers who ordered within a date range.
- Tagged with — filter by any customer tag.
The search box searches across all your customers.
Exporting
Open the Export Builder from the dashboard to download customers as CSV or Excel. You choose the scope:
- Current page — just what's on screen.
- Filtered — everything matching your current filters.
- Selected — only the rows you tick.
- All customers — the full list across your stores.
Pick the columns you want, and download. If you export the same shape regularly, save it as a template so it's one click next time.
Tutorial: build a marketing list of subscribed, high-value customers
A quick walkthrough of a common job — pulling together the customers worth emailing and handing them to your team as a file.
- Open Customers from the sidebar.
- In the filter bar, set Email subscription status to Subscribed so only customers who opted into email marketing remain.
- Add an Amount spent filter — for example a minimum spend — to focus on your highest-value customers.
- Add a Stores filter if you want to target one store, or leave it off to pull customers from every store together.
- Click the Amount spent column header to sort, so your biggest spenders rise to the top.
- Open the Export Builder, choose the Filtered scope, pick the columns your team needs, and download a CSV or Excel — a ready-to-use marketing list.
Permissions
Account owners always have access. For team members, access is controlled by the View Customers permission — without it, opening the dashboard shows a "no access" message. Grant it from your team member's permissions.
FAQ
Does the Customers dashboard show customers from all my stores at once? Yes — every connected store's customers land in one list. Filter by Stores when you want to focus on a single store.
Why does every customer say "Not subscribed"? That badge reflects each customer's email marketing consent in Shopify. A customer only shows as Subscribed once they've opted in; everyone else reads Not subscribed.
Why is Amount spent shown in a different currency for some customers? Amount spent is formatted in each store's own currency, so customers from different stores can display different currency symbols.
Can I export only the customers I've filtered to? Yes. Open the Export Builder and choose the Filtered scope to export exactly what matches your current filters — or Selected for just the rows you tick.
Where's the Store column on my dashboard? If you only have one connected store, the Store column is hidden automatically — every customer belongs to the same store, so it adds nothing. It reappears once you connect a second store.
Can team members see this dashboard? Only if they have the View Customers permission. Account owners always have access.
